School Campus

Scenario

A local high school with 600 students has upgraded their phone and PBX systems. A complete revamping of their mass notification system will be installed during summer break. Paramount is the ability for paging announcements to classrooms and common areas throughout the school, as well as secure access to storage, office, and entrance locations.

Solution

We recommend VoIP Ceiling Speakers within every classroom to allow for mass notification. The speakers can be integrated with the Clock Kit. Throughout the hallways, VoIP Ceiling Speakers enable general announcements.

Indoor, Outdoor, Emergency and Keypad Intercoms at entrance locations around the school allow for two-way communication and secure access.

For loud and noisy environments, such as the gym, and also outdoor parking areas, Loudspeaker Amplifiers connected to outdoor speakers or mini loudspeaker horns allow for paging pre-recorded as well as general announcements.

CyberData’s IP-based classroom clocks and communication endpoints can meet the requirements of most schools’ operational paging needs.

As SIP or MultiCast endpoints, CyberData VoIP products install seamlessly into an IP-based phone system or can be driven from a number of 3rd party paging and event notification software products supported by the CyberData endpoints.

CyberData products provide a cost effective way to implement IP based paging and event notification.

Manufacturing Plant

Scenario

After investing in a new IP PBX system, a container manufacturing company, utilizing some of its existing overhead paging equipment, adds paging amplifiers, IP based ceiling speakers and intercoms to allow for general announcements and two-way communication, as well as access control.

Solution

An Outdoor Intercom at the front entrance allows access control and two-way communication. Indoor and Keypad intercoms at the entrance to engineering and accounting offices as well as within the conference room area.

Manufacturing plants require multiple zones for paging. The v3 Paging Server enables users to access multiple zones through a single SIP phone extension. The Paging Server connects right into the PoE switch.

VoIP Ceiling Speakers allow mass notification offices, hallways and common areas. The Ceiling Speaker can be integrated with a Wall Mount Clock Kit to provide time-keeping in the kitchen area.

For loud and noisy environments such as production, paging amplifiers connect to existing amplifiers and mini-horn loudspeakers for general announcements and production schedule notifications.

A SIP Strobe allows for visual alerting, and when part of the page group for manufacturing, can signal phone calls visually via the LED strobe.

A SIP Office Ringer outside the production manager’s office provides an audible ring indication when part of a ring group, in addition to paging for mass notification.

As part of an SMB manufacturing facility, CyberData IP Endpoints can enable better communications between different areas of the company. When tied to a SIP IP-PBX system, CyberData paging and intercom devices work in all areas of the facility from the office environment that is quiet to the high noise area of production and manufacturing.

CyberData’s line of SIP-based legacy paging devices enable existing analog legacy paging equipment to be easily re-used in the new IP environment.

As SIP or MultiCast endpoints, CyberData VoIP products install seamlessly into an IP-based phone system or can be driven from a number of 3rd party paging and event notification software products supported by CyberData endpoints.

Assisted Living Facility

Scenario

An Assisted Living Facility with 25 rooms needs to provide instant communication between tenant and main office staff for safety/medical emergency situations. Announcements and two-way communication is also needed at various general/common areas such as the cafeteria, exercise room, pool and parking lot.

Solution

Through a SIP IP-PBX system, a user can pick up a handset and broadcast a message to the whole facility or to an individual zone.

We recommend Indoor Intercoms within each private room for each tenant. These will allow for instant two-way communication and quick response to normal and adverse communication requirements.

Keypad Intercoms at the entrance of the pool area will notify staff that someone has gone into the pool area and alert the on-site lifeguard.

Outdoor Intercom at the entrance of the facility, connected to an electronic relay and door strike, allows for both two-way communication and secure access.

Emergency Intercoms at all general locations, such as pool, exercise room and cafeteria call the main office directly to alert for a medical or physical emergency.

VoIP Ceiling Speakers (both with and without Clock Kits) in the cafeteria, exercise room, main office and each floor of the living quarters allow for the staff to play prerecorded announcements regarding activity start times, as well as general, live announcements for special events, or for paging staff.

The SIP Call Button can be placed at various points throughout the apartment hallways to signal various events. Pressing the button automatically makes a call to a pre-set phone number. When the number answers, the Call Button plays and repeats a stored audio file. This file is uploaded by the administrator to match the needs of the installed location.

To allow for paging in noisy environments, Loudspeaker Amplifiers with mini-horn loudspeakers or outdoor speakers can be placed at strategic points outside the building.

As SIP or MultiCast endpoints, CyberData VoIP products install seamlessly into an IP-based phone system or can be driven from a number of 3rd party paging and event notification software products supported by the CyberData endpoints.

Small Office

Scenario

An engineering firm with production on site has recently relocated to a new office building. The company requires both overhead paging for general announcements, and two-way communication devices with secure access ability at their entrance and loading dock.

Solution

For this scenario, we recommend an Outdoor and Indoor Keypad intercom at the main and secondary entrances. This allows two-way communication, quick response to normal and adverse communication requirements, and employee access via their unique code.

VoIP Ceiling Speakers in the general office area and common areas allow for pre-recorded and general announcements. To save costs, a CyberData Analog speaker can connect to each VoIP Ceiling Speaker.

A SIP Call Button in the lobby of the office can direct visitors to press the button that automatically makes a call to a pre-set phone number. When the number answers, the Call Button plays and repeats a stored audio file, telling the visitor someone will be available shortly.

A SIP Office Ringer outside of the office manager’s office provides an audible ring when part of a ring group, and provides paging for mass notification.

As SIP or MultiCast endpoints, CyberData VoIP products install seamlessly into an IP based phone system or can be driven from a number of 3rd party paging and event notification software products supported by the CyberData endpoints.

Retail Store

Scenario

A 5,000 square foot retail location requires paging and two-way communication throughout the building, including shipping and receiving, stock room, staff offices and lunchroom, and at checkout locations. There is a small security office on-site.

Solution

Because the retail store already has paging equipment, we recommend CyberData’s line of SIP-based legacy analog paging devices. In this instance, the Paging Gateway allows for overhead paging for general announcements.

An Outdoor Intercom at the entrance to shipping and receiving provides secure access and two-way communication. Because this can be a noisy environment, we also recommend a Loudspeaker Amplifier with mini-horn loudspeakers.

A Keypad Intercom at the entrance of the security station provides both secure access and two-way communication. Throughout the office and lunchroom, VoIP Ceiling Speakers (some of which are integrated within Wall Mount Clock Kits for time-keeping) allow for mass notification.

The SIP Call Button can be placed in the office and security areas to signal various events. Pressing the button automatically makes a call to a pre-set phone number. When the number answers, the Call Button plays and repeats a stored audio file. This file is uploaded by the administrator to match the needs of the installed location.

In a Retail Configuration, CyberData’s application-specific endpoints for unified communication can enable IP-based notification and communications when tied to an IP-PBX system. Existing legacy paging equipment can be easily integrated into CyberData’s line of gateways and adapters.

As SIP or MultiCast endpoints, CyberData VoIP products install seamlessly into an IP based phone system or can be driven from a number of 3rd party paging and event notification software products supported by the CyberData endpoints.
