When “Try and Buy" is selected, we charge on shipment and we will apply a credit IF the product is returned through our RMA process within 30 days, in good condition in its original packaging.

Once returned and upon inspection, CyberData will apply the credit to your credit card, less any shipping and handling charges that CyberData incurs. No returns are accepted after 30 days under our Try & Buy program.

The CyberData SIP Speaker is a Power-over-Ethernet (PoE 802.3af/802.3at) and Voice-over-IP (VoIP) public address indoor speaker that easily connects into existing local area networks with a single CAT5/CAT6 cable connection. The speaker is compatible with most IP PBX servers. The speaker plays multicast messages, independent of the SIP environment.  Its small footprint and minimal can depth allows the speaker to be discreetly mounted almost anywhere.

    What is multicast?

    IP multicast is a technique for one-to-many communication over a local IP network. IGMP multicast is sent via UDP packets from a multicast server to a multicast receiver. This stream scales to a larger receiver population by not requiring prior knowledge of who or how many receivers there are. Multicast uses network infrastructure efficiently by requiring the source to send a packet only once, even if it needs to be delivered to many receivers. The network replicates the packet in order to reach multiple receivers only when necessary.

    Multicast is a great alternative to SIP registration as it does not require that the recipient of the stream to register as an extension on an IP-PBX server.

    CyberData products support both regular IGMP multicast as well as proprietary Polycom Group Paging.

    How do I update my firmware?

    Go to the Downloads tab, click on the serial number range matching your device and download the firmware compatible with it. V3 Firmware is not backwards compatible. Please contact VoIP Technical Support for assistance before attempting a firmware upgrade on a Pre-V3 device.
