Scenario
A 5,000 square foot retail location requires paging and two-way communication throughout the building, including shipping and receiving, stock room, staff offices and lunchroom, and at checkout locations. There is a small security office on-site.

Solution
Because the retail store already has paging equipment, we recommend CyberData’s line of SIP-based legacy analog paging devices. In this instance, the Paging Gateway allows for overhead paging for general announcements.

An Outdoor Intercom at the entrance to shipping and receiving provides secure access and two-way communication. Because this can be a noisy environment, we also recommend a Loudspeaker Amplifier with mini-horn loudspeakers.

A Keypad Intercom at the entrance of the security station provides both secure access and two-way communication. Throughout the office and lunchroom, VoIP Ceiling Speakers (some of which are integrated within Wall Mount Clock Kits for time-keeping) allow for mass notification.

The SIP Call Button can be placed in the office and security areas to signal various events. Pressing the button automatically makes a call to a pre-set phone number. When the number answers, the Call Button plays and repeats a stored audio file. This file is uploaded by the administrator to match the needs of the installed location.

In a Retail Configuration, CyberData’s application-specific endpoints for unified communication can enable IP-based notification and communications when tied to an IP-PBX system. Existing legacy paging equipment can be easily integrated into CyberData’s line of gateways and adapters.

As SIP or MultiCast endpoints, CyberData VoIP products install seamlessly into an IP based phone system or can be driven from a number of 3rd party paging and event notification software products supported by the CyberData endpoints.
