The IBM 4712 dot matrix printer with the serial interface can now be replaced with a higher reliability and faster Epson thermal printer, the H5000II. Using the Epson IBM 4712 Connect-IT module, users of the IBM 4712 printer can simply unplug their current printer and attach the new H5000II printer using the existing IBM printer cable. The operation of the H5000II printer will require no application changes.
