PoweredUSB and its associated technology are patented by IBM Corporation. CyberData is an unencumbered licensee of IBM's USB PlusPower technology. This contractual agreement between CyberData and IBM allows for multiple levels of sales distribution without the need for additional licensing nor royalty payments. CyberData's PoweredUSB distribution partners are covered under this licensing agreement and are able to resell our entire portfolio of PoweredUSB products without encumberances.
